Horrorshow drop a video to their new single Thoughtchrime (Doin’ My Think). Thoughtchrime (Doin’ My Think) is available for free over on Horrorshow’s website now and their 2nd album Inside Story is due October 3rd on Elefant Traks. Don’t sleep on these guys because as far as i’m concerned in the “up n coming” younger oz hip hop generation, it doesn’t get any better than Horrorshow.
Lazy Grey’s track Stop ‘N’ Think is a classic Australian Hip Hop track of Lazy’s album Banned In Queensland, thanks to Bias B it’s recently received a belated video which you can catch below.
Urthboy will be touring to all major capital cities and some larger country towns (guess no one loves hip hop in Darwin?) from 24th September through to November 14th. Touring with recent Elefant Traks signing Horrorshow, Melbourne’s electro influenced Polo Club, Elgusto from Hermitude and The Herd‘s Jane Tyrrell the Urthboy live show is billed as being an energetic and theatrical performance and if previous shows from Elefant Trak’s artists are anything to go by, it wont dissapoint.
The lead single off the new album from Adelaide’s Cross Bred Mongrels, titled “Party’s Never Over”. Keep your ears to the ground for the new album from the Cross Bred Mongrels which is called Certified Wise and is due out September 4th on Obese Records.
Urthboy has put his new album Spitshine on MySpace for all to hear and preview prior to it’s release next Friday (28th August) on Elefant Traks. It’s just another smooth and simple marketing move from a man that seems to understand the way music marketing works in the digital age of 2009. The marketing hit for the album has been going on for at least 2 months now slowly winding up to next week, it all seems so simple too, but it works. I’m not sure how long this is going to be up there for, so i suggest you get your mouse and headphones over to Urthboy’s MySpace and listen to Spitshine.
