This week on iTunes the single of the week is from Thundamentals. The track, The Mash is taken from their debut album Sleeping On Your Style on Obese Records. Being that it’s iTunes single of the week, that makes it a free download so get over to iTunes and grab your free taste of what the Blue Mountains in NSW has to offer.Comments Off
This Saturday at 10am on ABC1, Australia’s biggest hip hop act the Hilltop Hoods will be guest programming rage. If you’re not sure what this generally entails, it’s a selection of tracks and clips from the guys and usually a really light chat to go along with it. So set your TIVO/Reminders to 10am Saturday 28/11/2009 on ABC1 or catch the repeat on ABC2 at 5:00pm) and set aside an hour for the Hilltop Hoods as they take us through some of their favourite music video clips.
Also starting at 11:25pm on Saturday night on ABC1, they’ll be continuing the guest programming with more of their favourite clips.Comments Off
The Hilltop Hoods let a bit of info out via Twitter this morning. The information? well it seems after leaving Obese they’ve managed to keep/hold onto/get back the rights to the albums they released while signed to Obese. The upside of this is that now they’re free to reissue those releases and they’re doing just that.Comments Off

On Friday 13th November 2009, we made our way to the Rosemount for a hip hop gig, Able was launching his new 5-Track EP. A great night was had, some great tunes were played and an EP was released.

There’s a very interesting sound for Hip Hop brewing over here on the west coast of Australia and Able is one of the guys stirring the brew alongside other members of The Community. Sydney artist Phatchance is set to drop his debut album Inkstains next Friday, the 20th of November, Chance contacted me and eventually after a discussion it was decided he’d send me a copy of Inkstains to listen too and i’d give him my thoughts and some promo via this blog (it really is that easy). I’ll be clear though, i’m not bought these are my thoughts un-edited, un-compromised.Comments Off
